Grill Paint

On a 74 EB base model, is the grill the same color as the body or was the grill area (where the Sport and Ranger has a chrome trim ring) painted an off white with painted (red?) letters??? Trying to go back as close to Orig. as possible.

I believe they all had white grilles from the factory the sport package had the FORD emblem (chrome with red plastic inserts) hope this helps

mine is a 73 wagon and it is a off white grill like the top and the letters are black. all original

Hey Thanks for the responses, I'm going same white as the top and paint the letters black.
