Okay, I have a 1988 ford bronco 302. it set for 8 years until me and my dad fixed it up and got it running. everything was running fine on it until one day it just shut down on me like it was electrical. it wouldn't turn over or get any power at all. I took it to a guy I know and he said it was the ignition coil or module. I replaced both of them and it started right up and ran just fine. now my next problem is that whenever it runs for awhile it starts to cut out on me and then just shuts down while its idling or driving on the road. I have replaced the battery, alternator, starter, starter solenoid, ignition coil, ignition module, computer, spark plugs and wires, both fuel pumps and filter, all the injectors have been cleaned and it still keeps wanting to die on me. I don't know what else to do to fix it. If anyone has any advise for me I would really appreciate it.

check near your EEC4 connector under the hood, there are several relays there.  fuel pump relay connections commonly get a little corroded and when they get hot the loose the connection.   ran into this a lot back when these trucks were new and had a lot of snow plow use, but if yours has sat for 8 years before you got it going  could be same kind of issues.

also make sure your grounds are good and clean, battery to engine, battery to body , and possibly one at the back of the engine small one firewall to engine.

good luck.

Right on with the info from 68 Merc.....the pick-up coil in the dist. could be the issue too.  If you had no electrical power when this happens, I would suspect the grounds as 68 said.  If the truck will crank , but not start, you need to find if it is a lack of fuel, or no spark.

No spark is easy. Connect a test light between the + and - terminals of the coil. Crank the engine. If the light flashes, you have everything ok with the primary side of the ignition system.  If it doesn't flash, you have a situation causing  no "fire" signal to the coil. Suspect wiring, module, or pic-up (stator) in the dizy.

Good Luck
