OK, here is a diagram. Keep in mind that it is for an 83 and will have some possible variations from your truck. I am attaching them so you can have an idea of just how fuse blocks are arranged, color codes may vary. As you can see in the second half of each diagram is that the fuse block doesn't just have a single feed. Some things are hot at all times, some only when the ignition switch is in RUN, and a few things will become hot when the switch is in the ACC.
By the no power for anything inside the truck, I assume that you mean lights? Looking at the light switch for example you can see that there are 3 different sources; 1 direct from the battery, and two from the same ultimate source but thru 2 seperate fuses and wiring paths.
So any way, I hope these help. Sorry I don't have the exact diagram for your truck, but that stuff doesn't change a whole lot over the years. Just be aware there are minor differences thru the years depending on features. Also, keep inmind that fuseable links are a possible source of failure. You will see them in the diagram labled Fuse Link A, B, etc.
