what is this called???

hey i recently got this 92 bronco 5.8l and im trying to fix it but im not sure what the thing that sits ontop of the vapor canister is called??? it has a hose that hooks up to it, if that helps. i went to the parts store and they cant tell me what it is, i got the truck with it missing already so thats why im trying to find out what it is, so i can get it and install it. i already looked in my chilton's manual and it doesnt list it at all, its pictured in it but with no name, i even took the manual to the parts store to show them and they still couldnt help me. i would really appreciate it if someone here could help me out, thanks.

yeah its in the 3rd pic down, to the left of the battery on top of the air pump filter(car quest said it was a vapor canister thats y i called it that) its that little canister lookin thing
