I don't think my 90 Bronco has the stock engine. Its a 302 (I know they came with 302's) but there is something not right about it. Is the VIN anywhere on the engine?

No it is not. I had a similar thing with mine. The vin said 302 but it is infact a 351. Somewhere along the line someone put a 85 351 in it. What makes you suspect that something doesn't match?

Both me and my coworker who are both mechanics just don't think its a stock 90. There is no definate proof, we just both agree it dosen't look right.

Why don't you take a few pictures and post them. Maybe someone can spot something that is or isn't there on a stock 90 engine.

Heres some pics of the engine. The owners father told me it had a rebuilt engine and tranny. That could be either the engine and tranny were rebuilt or it had a rebuilt put in.
