yesterday i was driving for about an hour and a half through hills and mountains with my windows up and a/c on and all the suddon my bronco started loosing power (not common with my 351) and i have the towing package and everything and im pretty sure it was vapor locked because it happened once before when my dad was driving it a few years ago, has this ever happened to any one else latley, and what can i do to prevent this from happening? thanks

Its a 1994, efi, it bucks like the tranny shifts hard but it doesent and it looses power till you shut off the a/c or stop and let it cool down a little but the temp gauge reads normal so i dont no what it is some body just suggested that it could be vapor locking

You know what that kinda sounds like is the ignition module maybe acting up.Its gets too hot and starts killing the spark and shuting the fuel pump down. After you sit for like 15 minutes or so ,it starts back up like nothing happened,,well until it heats up again,,,Just a thought from what Ive run across over the years, and Ive replaced alot of them on a majority of the fords...

ok guys thanks for your ideas and help i already got the haynes manual and a few multi meters so i will just have to start poking around seeing what i can find by testing, but if not its not a huge deal it only happens once every like 2 years... weird, but thanks for your help and suggestions i think this site is nice how we can all help each other out to keep our broncos running strong
