I just got ahold of a dash consol from an 82 Bronco with a tripometer and a tachometer. The consol that I'm taking out of my 81 Bronco doesn't have the tach or a tripometer originally. I know the tripometer will work, but will my wiring harness plug right into this new consol? I haven't tried it yet, but I don't want to hurt anything without knowing before hand. If it does, will the tachometer work? If not, what more do I need (like sensors or something) and where could I get them? (Or who has some that I could take off their hands?)

Any and all help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

All the wiring is included in the factory harness, no additional wiring or sensors are required. The signal to it comes from the coil on the Dark Green with yellow stripe wire and ground is provided on the Black with Light Green stripe wire. Fuse 18 powers the Tac as well as several other things in your truck.

Good luck,

:)>-
