I have an 82 bronco and there time the engine is running at idle, the turn signal system works fine till in the higher rpm’s then the fuse blows. Anyone have this issue or could it be the voltage regulator is bad?

I will give it a try and let you know.Hey Tahoe, weird that its only the turn signal fuse. Put a volt meter across the battery, (make sure its reading DC volts), then rev it up with the turn signals on till the fuse blows
It should read between 13 and 15 volts fairly steady, (depending on battery temp) if it keeps rising past 15 or 16, Id blame the regulator.
If its steady it could be an intermittent short that shows up with vibration.
hope that helps
Cheers
So the volts stay constant at 14.3 the entire timeHey Tahoe, weird that its only the turn signal fuse. Put a volt meter across the battery, (make sure its reading DC volts), then rev it up with the turn signals on till the fuse blows

Ok, sounds like your regulator is good. You might be chasing an intermittent short circuit. (Which sucks)So the volts stay constant at 14.3 the entire time
Only noticed it when I am sitting parked and the blinker switch is not activated and the switch was unpluggedOk, sounds like your regulator is good. You might be chasing an intermittent short circuit. (Which sucks)
How often does the fuse blow?
Can you think of any other details that happen just before the fuse blows? (Turning the steering wheel, hitting bumps… things like that)
Hopefully we can get to the bottom of it!
Cheers
Thank you. And i will definitely unhook them and see what we getIf this wiring diagram is correct, that fues, 15a, also runs hazards and reverse lights?
Maybe unhook those items as well? see if anything changes.
