I recieved my Centech harness today and in the manual it states very clearly not to mount the fuse box to a metal surface... If I were keeping the factory glovebox this wouldnt be a problem, but I decided to go with the Tuffy Lockbox. Though I have not ordered it yet I was curious on what others have done, what is the inside of the Tuffy made of? or should I try to find a different place to mount the fuses, which may be hard because pretty much every thing under the dash is metal.......

The Tuffy box is solid sheet metal.

Not sure why you cant' mount the fuse panel to metal.

If there is an electric motor rewind shop in your area, you could ask them for a scrap piece of phase cloth to insulate your fuse box from any metal. This stuff is unaffected by moisture and is good for 1000V.

If you want to try that and can't find any locally, I could send you a scrap piece from my shop.
