i have the TTB dana 44 front end and i run 38 inch tires, my steering is getting a little loose these days, i already replaced everything from tie rod to tie rod, steering box may be a bit loose, can that rag joint in the steering shaft cause the wteering to have to play in it?, also i just orderd new raduis arm bushings, i know they mainly stop axel roll back and forth, but do they play any role in sterring, cuz mine are over 6 years old and have seen plenty abuse, im at work right now so im trying to get everything orderd that i need so anyones input is greatly appretiated, and also can anyone give thier 2 cents on how to make my steering as tight as possible, shes a big rig and likes to dance between the lines on the highway haha....any advice would be great..thanks guys

Look in the How-To & Tech Articles form. There are some links to fixing your Bronco, including replacing the axle pivot and radius arm bushings. If the rag joint on the steering shaft is worn, it will cause sloppy steering. I had that problem on my 84 Bronco after installing a lift kit, and everything else had been replaced.

how did u remove your old axle pivot bushings?
i had to remove all of the plastic in the old bushling after i pushed out the metal cyclinder the bolt fits in , its funny i got a cerated kitchen knife that was old but sharp and slowly cut it out ... then i took a ***** driver and a hammer and keep driving the outter lip in until it cloapsed into itself... the second one i did that but i used a sawlz all to carefully cut the outter metal in half , it makes it easier the make it collapse in... its a pain IN TH A$$!!!!!!!!
