trans sticking with 3 speed manual

I am experiencing some problems with my 70 E.B. floor shifter. I bought the truck with the conversion, but sometimes get stuck in gears and have to go under the truck and hit the links a little to get them to kick out. Is there and easy fix to get this to stop?

When Installing The floor shifters.., sometimes there's some metal (on the floorboard) that needs to be shaved away in order for those rods to move smoothly. Installer may have overlooked this. Also ..., is it a 6 cyl. ?? If so.., this requires other adjustments. (cut & re-weld on the rods)

Also; the rods need to be adjusted correctly.... this could be the whole problem.
