Just bought a 1995 Bronco XL, noticed some water buildup around inside of the topper windows. Does not seem to be leaking from any of the regular places like cab to topper, looks like water is making it's way in through the window seals somehow. I used some silicone caulk around the outside of the window seals, not on the window and rubber, but the rubber to fiberglass. Still having water pool up and drip on the inside, any ideas or have any of you had the same problems? Thanks

yo,

This is from my MS WORD notes for 92-96 camper tops;

Adhesive for Camper Top Front & Side Weatherstrips; window seal do do not attach to the metal (So you're ok on this)

they are glued to the fiberglass, with a few screws at the rear corners.

3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive is probably the best for this application, but you MUST follow the directions to the letter, otherwise, it won't hold ...

btw this is how JR installed sliders in; he has some tips for installing the WS's; good for fixed glass as well!Slider Installation in an 89; miesk5 note; by C.R. lubed the rubber seal with a rubber **** (Ruglyde) but dishsoap works as well. Then install (stuff) the cord into the inboard track of the weatherstrip.

Start at the bottom, in the center and go all around the perimeter, overlapping at the bottom.

After the cord is on, center the window with the weatherstrip in the opening. Shove the cord (at the bottom) through the opening first. Starting with the bottom, fit the ****** on the top into the bottom track of the weatherstrip. You might need to peel the rubber from the inside by hand to get it started. Once the rubber starts to overlap the ******, from the inside of the truck, pull the cord. It will pull the rubber through the opening. It may only pull 1/2 of the rubber "lip" on top of the ******......that's OK. Pull the rope all the way around the perimeter. The sharp corners will require a little extra coaxing. Use your fingers to help pull the rubber in. Once you go a;ll the way around...it "sucks" the window into the opening. Then you can finish seating the seal. by pushing the window from the outside.
