I'm replacing my timing cover oil seal to stop leaking. From the diagrams in the manual it appears that the seal can be replaced from the front without taking out the timing cover. Now that I've taken off the harmonic balancer it seems that I need to take the timing cover off to install the seal from the rear. I don't want to take off the cover if it is not needed. Any advice.
