I would like to do a tie rod flip on my 78.I have the right reamer but some where

I saw bushings that had a taper on the outside that would go in the bottom of the knuckle and had a taper on the inside to guide the tie rod in.Does somebody know where I can find them

Both have the cone shims. They are installed from the top down.

All you do is ream until the shims fit. If you don't use the shims you get an hour glass shape in the knuckle and the tie rods don't fit well.

If you decide to upgrade to the Chevy 1 ton style you don't need the shims as the rod ends are much larger and takes out the hour glass shape.

Here's a photo of a shim.
