After you have removed and reassembled the guts of the tailgate about a dozen times, you'll get pretty good at it. Heres what I do - after removing the inside panel and the brace underneath, find the wires to the lockout switch and install a wire splice across the wires. You can now raise the window 1/2 to 3/4 up and remove the bolts holding the glass. Pull it out a bit farther and support the end with a trashcan so it won't sag & break. Now you can get to most of the bolts holding the window regulator, and the ones you can't, just power the regulator up or down as necessary. The regulator assy comes out the side the brace was on. If you have to replace glass, then the rubber pieces at the corners of the tailgate have to come off. I rejuvinated my motor by fabricating new rollers from pieces of 1/2" copper tubing filled with J-B weld. Works pretty good. If you leave the wire splice on, just remember to roll the window fully up or down before opening or closing tailgate. Good luck.
