My AOD seems to be going out I cannot get it to shift right. I have adjust the tv cable and the kickdown cable and checked the fluid I even changed the tranny filter. The Tranny was fine before I swapped in my 351 but now I do not know but I have a E4OD that I got with the engine I was wondering what all I had to do to put this tranny in plave of the AOD

You would have to have the harness from the computer to the tranny and the computer because it controls the E4OD ( I do have one of those out of my 91 ) If you dont want to use the factory computer baumann engineering makes a stand alone controller for $400 and its a pain in the ass to wire up . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I have a 92 computer but I wanted to use my wiring harness what could I do for this. I have the harness that went down the the tranny with the tranny I have? Would it be better off rebuild my AOD or get the stuff to put the E4OD in?

The AOD would be easier no doubt and there ia alot of aftermarket for both of them to make them very strong . I do believe that the E4OD is a better tranny just more complicated . But if it isnt a 95 or later tranny it doesnt have any of the factory updates and will cost you more money to build than the AOD . I really dont know what to tell ya on this one guess it depends on how deep your wallet is . If it were me I think Id go with the stand alone controller for the E4OD like the one I have you program it with a laptop and can make the tranny do about whatever you want it to do as far as shift points and line pressure for firmness of shift its a really cool unit but expensive . Thats the way I think I would go if I were you but again it all depends on what you want to spend . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
