I really want an all in 1 unit: Nav, Sat radio, iPhone/iTouch connection, HD radio, all backed on a 7" screen..
So what are my options for installing a 7" pop out head unit? I know I can fit one in there..but as far as the screen comming out I think my wood trim would get in the way as far as tilting the screen back so I can see it.
Another option I thought was moving the heater controls down to where the stereo goes, and ofcourse moving the stereo up to where the heater control is. Would that provide the extra clearence needed to get the head unit to fit with the screen out?
Also, regardless, I want to relocate the heater controls down to the stereo bay, and move the stereo to the heater bay. Is this easy to do? IIRC they are only wires..which can be extended with ease, but nothing is ever easy LOL
