steering column removal

hi folks, i am about to upgrade to a tilt steering column but have never d\removed one before. i can't seem to find any literature or instructions to help me out. i don't know what to look out for or if there are any specific things i need to do. any help or diagrams would be awesome! both columns are from 79' bronco's. thanks for any help.

This is a stepxstep for 87-96 F-series, but should be similar to the 78/79. IF you have an auto tranny, be careful not to break the chord for the shift indicator. That can sometimes be tricky, as well as the wiring. Aside from that, if you're changing the steering wheel you'll need a puller to remove it, JSM84

pulled the column today... boy was i over thinking that one...lol@me! thanks a bunch for the help with the diagrams!
