I'm having a problem with my rear window, especially in cold weather. Whether or not I'm putting the window up or putting the window down (it's a little easier going down because it has the weight of the glass to help it), I usually have to guide it with my hand or the motor just doesn't have the strength to move it properly. The colder it gets, the more I have to push or pull on the window to get it to move.

Secondly, the motor is relatively new as I replaced it last year.

How much voltage does the window motor need to operate properly? I'm wondering if it's just not getting enough juice.

Thanks for any help.

If the window goes up/down slow and you have a new motor, lubricate the window regular mechanism with Silicone or a Teflon-based ****. Also, check the side channels for any binding, rust, dirt, etc. as well as the tailgate weatherstripping inside and out. Dust and debris will gum up the 'works', and worn weatherstrips can actually scratch the glass if allowed to wear out completely. You can check the voltage at the motor, but if it's working i bet it's O.K.

I agree my window regulator had a lot of rust between the arms and was very hard to move . I took it all out and sandblasted it to get all the stuff off it then painted and reasembled . All good now up and down fast . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Are there any diagrams anywhere that show how to remove and clean all the gears and arms for the back window? When I replaced the motor, I did so without removing anything else. (Why can't that access hole be just a LITTLE bit bigger? )
