Should this lower intake port be plugged?

I recently pulled my engine for a rebuild and am about 3/4 of the way done putting it back together. I just noticed an empty port in the lower intake on the drivers side, between the two fuel rail mounting bolt holes. I’m going through the pics I took during the tear down and can’t find anything that is supposed to be there. you can see the port just to the left of the coil platform in the below pic. Should something be there or should I just plug it? Thanks!

I don't know for sure myself, but should be pretty easy to figure out. If it is an open hole it needs to be plugged.

If it is not an open hole, still won't hurt to plug it, but I am not aware of anything that needs to go there as far as sensors or sending units.

Just checked my 91 Bronco 5.8L engine the hole is there, but this hole is not used for anything. May be for some other application that is not used. Yes just plug it. Mine is not plugged has been of for 30 plus years.
