shaker hood

does any one remember the shaker hoods from back in the day that were on cars like the trans -am cuda and camaro? the concept of this hood for you younger guys who may not know is that there was a hole in the hood directly on top of where the carb was and there was a high rise air cleaner installled there and when you opened the hood the high rise air cleaner was on top of the carb and there was a big hole in the hood in which the high rise stuck out of .. what this did was sucked in a lot of air from the outside and it was really cool looking when you hit the accelator the high rise would shake .like crazy. i was wondering if any of you old timers like me think that there may be a way to do this on the bronco with the cold air intake?

That would be awswome, I'll admit that. Might take some serious thought and rigging though. I used to have a pick-up with the same intake set-up as our bronco's, and I ended up buying a functional Ram-Air hood for it. Had a low rise double snorkle system on the front. Looked really awsome, and I'll tell ya what, smash the gas gettin on the highway, and I KNEW it was there. I don't have the pics of it anymore, but may be another option to look into.

that must of looked cool. years ago there was one automaker who had a set of three lights on the shaker hood visibe to the inside of the car that that let the driver know how much air was being sucked in . sort of looked like a xmas tree at a drag strip but is was sideways.

. dude i am so psyched into unleashing the power in this truck its giving me a ******* . b4 i was into the looks but now i opened up a whole new chapter. i really enjoy when someone in a rice burner pulls next to me at a light and hes reving his engine that sounds like a milk shake blender and i smoke em.. then he pulls next to me at the next light and the reving of his engine stopped and i look at him with my cigar in my mouth and smile at him . i think a new MSD dist and headers are next
