I have used this stuff for a while now and often recommend it to my friends. Anyone else have any opinions or tips for its use? And I wonder when you had it to you oil do you change the oil or do you just wait until its next scheduled change? I change mine but have heard different ways of doing it. I use one can for each flush. 1/3 can in the tank and 1/3 in oil then 1/3 sucked in the power booster vacuum hose. Do not so this indoors lol itll smoke a little :-"

I love this stuff. I **** in about 3/4ths via brake booster hose, then 1/4 in the gas tank. I'm a bit scared to do it in the oil tho...

Anyway I do this stuff every 3 months. It's great!

Sea Foam® Motor Treatment Overview & Video Source: by seafoamsales.com

"To control moisture buildup in oil, add 1½ oz. Sea Foam to each quart of oil. Sea foam will prevent phase separation of moisture that accumulates in oil. Moisture will evaporate under the heat of the crank case. Change oil and filter when dirty.

To clean the PCV system, add 1½ oz. Sea Foam to each quart of oil. It will slowly re-liquefy old oil varnish residue deposits as you drive.

Possible performance improvements include:

Increased RPM

Increased vacuum

Increased compression

To clean oil rings and lifters, add 1½ oz. Sea Foam to each quart of oil. Sea Foam will slowly re-liquefy the old oil varnish residue that builds up on lifters and rings and prevents them from functioning normally. This process can be done as part of a pre service cleaning by adding the Sea Foam to the oil at least 30 miles before the next oil change interval. OR it can be done as a preventative maintenance process without changing the oil. You can leave Sea Foam in the oil indefinitely as long as the oil is clean. The addition of a high-detergent oil like Sea Foam may cause the oil to become dirty faster than normal as buildup oil residue and contamination are cleaned. Check the oil at regular intervals and when it gets dirty, change it.

To clean built-up oil residues and contamination from the crank case, add 1½ oz. Sea Foam to each quart of engine oil. Sea Foam will slowly re-liquefy residues and suspend contaminants for easy removal. Change oil and replace filter when dirty.

http://www.seafoamsales.com/how-to-use-sea-foam-motor-treatment.html

of course, the instructions on how much to add to each Quart of oil is repetitive so use only 1½ oz. per qt; so 6 quarts of oil = 9 oz of Seafoam,

Your brake booster has a hose (brake booster is a large round peice on the firewall, driver side. There is a black hose going from this disc like object into the upper portion of your intake manifold. Disconnect that hose from the brake booster, and start the motor. Your truck will run at a higher RPM. Slowly pour the seafoam into this hose. You'll notice your RPMs to go down..don't let em get too low or it will stall the motor. I let the truck **** in about 3/4 a can. After you get done sucking in the sea foam, quickly turn the truck off. Let it sit 15-30 minutes. Start the truck back up with the brake booster hose reconnected.

Pour the rest in the gas tank if you wish, or save for next time. I pour the rest in my tank, then add 1/2 a can more or a full can to my fuel tank, depending on the gas level at the time. Read the instructions on the back..it'll tell you how many .oz per gallon you need to add to your fuel (if you so wish).

You may get a huge white smoke show..or you may get nothing. You should get at least something. The more white smoke, the more carbon build up you had/have. After you let it idle in park for about 5 minutes, take it for a highway run. Be sure to floor it through all gears except OD. Do this a couple times if you can. This will help "blow" out all the crap you've removed with the sea foam. It should stop smoking shortly after your highway drive. If it smokes after 10 miles or so..uhh well that'd be a new one for me!!

been using this stuff for years. It is an amazing product. I believe the easiest way is to pull a small vacuum line that feeds near throttle body or whatever while running and just drop the hose down into the bottle and let the vacuum **** it up until you see smoke. It says 1/3 bottle etc,but i always use till it starts smokin well. Don't turn off motor the instant that you see smoke but let it start smoking rather well. This takes 10-15 seconds after you see the first smoke. Then cut the engine off. Wait around 5-7 mins and then start the vehicle and drive it. You don't have to hot-rod it per say but putting the engine under a load is good. Turn on max ac or heat and punch it. On cheverlets with the EGR idle problems this is like crack

This is the first I've heard running it until it smokes.. may have to try that!..though I get 3/4 can sucked up and doesn't somke..not sure I want to run a full can or even more...

Though what's the point of turning the A/C or heat on?
