Yes, Yes and No. They have a lot more power than the Ford pump, which makes steering much lighter. In fact I can turn the wheels with one finger when standing still. This is especially helpful if you do off roading since you are often going very slow, have to make radical steering maneuvers, and may also have the tires aired down for traction. It is even much more pleasurable when steering on hard pavement. Also, no more whining when the steering wheel is turned in a hard situation that strains the pump, it doesn't strain a Saginaw.
The conversion is extremely easy to make as long as you get the mounting hardware with it. The hardware is available from F and E250's. You need to take it from a truck that has mounting hardware that is compatible with your year truck. If not, you will need to do a little fabrication and modification of the mounting hardware on your engine. The best thing to do is get the pump, all mounting hardware, and high pressure hose.
