info on the truck would help...and I don't think that the stock wheels are 8inch, I beleive 7.5". You will find that tire mfg's suggest no more than 4 inches difference in tire to rim widith...so a 12.50 should be run on an 8.5 inch rim (at least) and better on a 10-10.5 inch. Now...this is the recommendation...you will find many people running 12.50's on the stockers...I just researched for a while and picked up a set of wheels myself...however, I got a set of 33x10.50's so I would not have any rubbing issues as mine is still sitting on stock suspension height. I would not go bigger than 33x12.50 on the stockers if I were you though...maybe just look for some cheap steal wheels until you can upgrade to something better...get a set of 10 inch wheels to run the 35x12.50's....just my 2 cents.
