In order to get the window down manually, you have to remove the access panel on the inside of your tail gate. Once you have done that, your will have to remove the motor. Your motor is probably your problem any way. In order to remove the motor, you will have to reach in and up to remove the 3 bolts that hold the motor in place, I believe they are either 3/8" or 7/16". Once motor is out, disconnect the wiring harness as well. You should be able to pull the window down till it is clear of the top, them gently push it down. Make sure you push it down all the way into the gate. If you don't you still will not be able to open the tail gate due to the safety interlock. You can now check your motor (plug it back into the wiring harness) for operation. Use either the key or switch on the dash and see if it is working. If motor does not turn by using either switch, motor is bad. If motor turns but gear does not, then the internal gear is bad or the rubber snubbers are bad. New gear will run you about $10.00 at auto parts store. New motor runs around $30.00 I think.
