I just bought a 1993 ford bronco, and can't find the switch to operate the tailgate window?

Same as most earlier years exc. for OBD II in 96, 4WABS (93-96); ABS (87-92); Air Bag (94-96); 3 ***** Automatic Locking Hubs (Built from May 95 through 96); Spark Plug Wire Routing & Firing Order (The firing order for 1987-1993 5.0Ls is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8. The firing order for 1994- 96 5.0Ls & all 5.8Ls is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8.);

Man, that diesel Dave Manuel is so detailed. Thanks. Was also looking into getting a Haynes Manuel, and maybe even the repair surge online software download. Do you know anything about that software? I am very new to motor vehicle repair of any kind. I want to teach myself to restore this truck and could use all the professional help I can get. Thanks so much again.

yo,

Haynes is good; Chilton less so;

http://www.repairsurge.com/?hop=bingads1 never heard of it

Best is 93 Bronco Light Truck Shop Manual Set by FORD (NOT CHILTON, etc.) incl. Ford Bronco Electrical and Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual (EVTM/PCED-Powertrain Controls and Emission Diagnosis Manual) for Pin-Point Tests, etc.

Developed by Ford Motor Company, this shop manual provides detailed repair instruction written by the manufacturer. Information contained in each body type specific manual has been developed to aid technicians in diagnosing and repairing vehicle components and systems. Each manual covers the entire vehicle bumper to bumper including specifications, diagnosis and testing, in vehicle repairs, component removal and installation and complete engine and transmission rebuilding.

Description:

Instructions And Procedures For Routine Repair Adjustment Maintenance Work Diagnosis/Testing And Removal/Installation Of Parts For Various Vehicle Systems. Includes Vol 1 & 2

Do a Google for the manuals; they pop up at times on E Bay, etc.

btw, Ford's Official Publisher, HELM Inc. does not list it anymore.

Check local Library for All Data ON LINE; uses Ford info incl wiring diagrams, etc.

5 Years 44.95

Five Years Access for $44.95 first vehicle, $29.95 for each thereafter.

many local library's offer free on-line access for their members;

Auto Repair Reference Center Repair Manual, Mostly Chilton; many local library's offer free online access for their members; just log-in w/your library Card # and password; incl. all Broncos, & many MAKES! 1951 to current; some years (85-Current, I believe) include: FULL Technical Service Bulletins and Recalls, Labor Hours per repair (plug in appl info); some Wiring Diagrams, Vacuum Diagrams (in DRIVEABILITY AND EMISSIONS CONTROLS Section), Specifications (torques, etc.) & Maintenance Intervals

Anyone know where I could find a replacement switch as my 1982 electrical switch is not activating (I've taken it out and its riveted! so no home-fix for me!).  Any suggestions?
