I have recently purchased a 96 Bronco XLT. The rear power window will raise/lower via the switch on dash but the won't when using the key on tailgate. The fuses are all fine. What could most likley be the problem ? Thanks
Two fuses control the tail gate, one (fuse 14) for the driver switch which is hot when in Run or ACC. The other one (fuse 12) is for the tail gate switch which is hot at all times. The hot lead for the tailgate switch is Black with a White stripe an goes from the fuse thru a couple of connectors to the switch on the tail gate. You can probe this line at the tailgate switch to see if you have 12V, if not try probing it behind the left tail light. If you have 12V there the line is probably broken where it flexes between the two. Diagram attached, sorry it is a little fuzzy.
