Get in, Sit Down, Shut Up, Hang On!
Well, with 15 plus years of NO accidents, I guess it was bound to happen. Last night I was coming off an off-ramp, yeilding to the cross traffic as directed by the yeild sign and my intelligence...when this dude in a chevy sivlerado tagged me real good from behind. Pushed my bumper under and bent it up but good, bent the frame on the left side where the bumper brackets mount, pushed the spare tire in enough to crease the tailgate real good. Put some dents and scratches in the left rear quarter panel. It also appears the leaf springs on the driver side have shifted a bit. I'm still shook up about it. The only damage this highly cherished, nearly 20 year old family heirloom has seen is by my own hand (offroading I hit a tree stump) but other than that, it's cherry. I'm in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area...and hope somebody knows an excellent collision repair shop. Since it was entirely this dudes fault, I'm going to get er' done correctly. What do you all think about Ford dealership work? Should I look for an independent collision shop? If you know of anybody in the Tulsa area, I'd sure appreciate the input. I'm just so upset I'm almost in tears...and I don't cry about anything but my Momma and my Bronco. Encouraging words welcome. (
