I seem to have about 1/8" of play between when the pinion yolk engages and the rear wheels. I noticed this when I spin the yolk by hand with the wheels on jackstands freely spinning. Does anyone know if this is normal? On the front diff when it is turned by hand there is no slop. I took the pinion out and the slop occurs somewhere between the ring gear and the wheels-I don't think it is a problem with the pinion and the ring gear meshing.
