I'm getting ready to get stuff laid out for an engine swap. I want to replace my 302 EFI with 160K for an '88-'93 351W EFI. The engine block itself is more or less a drop in replacement, as I understand. But what other parts do you think I'll need? I'm pretty sure I'll need the computer.

I picked those model years as I want to stick with the original speed-density system, rather than muck around with a mass-flow. I know the mass-flow system makes for easier tweaks on the engine, but I'm planning on keeping the engine in it's stock configuration.

I'm more concerned about things like pumps, belts, fuel rails, etc.

Definitely will need the computer and take all the engine wiring and anything else hanging on it. You can always trash whatever you don't really need or just use the best one (whatever) you have between the two of them.

Good luck,

:)>-

I'll be getting a reman crate unit, not pulling from a junkyard chassis, so things like wiring and whatnot aren't there. Block, heads, pulleys, exhaust and intake manifolds are all that's coming with this.
