Radiator Leaking Tranny Fluid

I just bought a 1966 Ford Bronco from a private seller, I noticed that when I drive the car on freeways or at high speeds or RPM's, transmission fluid shoots out of the radiator from the tranny line going into the radiator at the top. I also noticed that the radiator looks like the original, does this mean my radiator is not cooling the tranny fluid enough which causes it to overheat and shoot out of my radiator? Should I get a secondary cooling system for the transsmission fluid? Do I need a new Radiator?

Does your tranny have a coolant line running to a seperate radiator or, maybe I read your post wrong, is there a line running from the tranny into the radiator?

You shouldn't have a line that dumps the tranny fluid into the radiator. If anything, there would be a tranny radiator itself, but there should not be anything mixing the two fluids.

Maybe post a picture of what you got.

But to start, I might look at the lines, maybe replace them, they could be rotted.

First off, I would try to tighten the connector.

Second, if that doesn't work, is the fluid coming out the line or the radiator itself? If it is comming out the line, replace it. If it is comming out the radiator section that cools trany fluid, then maybe you should get a new radiator, they aren't expensive.

Third, It wouldn't hurt to add a transmission cooler to augment the one in the radiator. You will find that the engine runs cooler that way.
