Ive just found out the pinion bearings are on their way. Starting to make noises at high speeds. Talked to a mechanic to fix it. And he insists of rebuilding the diff centre, as other parts will also go later on. Going to cost me about AU$850. Is this reasonable? does it need to be rebuilt? or just bearings replaced? Should i get an air locker put in while hes going for it? or maybe an LSD? be great to get some feedback. thanks

my 8.8 went out last month, new 3.55's, seals/bearings/cups and oversize axle bearings was 700 bucks. Make sure the guy who does it is the best in ur area!
