OD problems with my 95 ford bronco xlt 4x4

i have a 95 bronco xlt 4x4 and the OD light on the shifter comes on and off. causeing it to shift down and back up. its not constantly doing this but i can count on it happening every time i drive it atleast once. should i git a new tranny? should i look at the salvage yard or a rebuild

it sounds like a wiring problem,or the switch. if it was the transmission it would shift up and down without the light coming on. might be exposed wires connecting before the switch or the switch is starting to fail.

I agree; I had a sim. problem in the 96 E4OD due to shorted wiring under dash.

Check fuses

Remember to have engine @ Normal Operating Temperature before doing the KOER portion
