93 5.0 E4OD. My OD cancel button works fine (I can toggle in and out of overdrive), but the indicator lamp doesn't come on. I'm thinking that the button is good and the lamp inside is burned out, but before I buy a replacement part does anyone know how I might test it?

The OD cancel button and lamp is on the end of the shifter. I believe the lamp is built-in to the switch, but before I pop the cover and pull it out I want to try to find out a little more about it.

Pry it off with a thin flat screwdriver or pocket knife blade; it is spring-loaded so hold the round end trim piece while poppin' it off.
