NP 203's had automatic hubs. You will have to up-grade your hubs to manual locking such as what the NP 205 came with.

i think im gonna use some milemarkers with the doubler, but wont the diff in the 203 just send power to the front wheels when the hubs unlock and not move the truck? im thinking of the driveshafts and diff in the t case like a rearend works. the power would all be sent to the front driveshaft because it would have no resistance right? also, i have another 79 with the 205 so i guess i could bolt its stuff up but its rear shaft looks bad. i wanna wait till the doubler to set my rear pinion angel and shorten/lengthen the shafts though. with the 9" you dont need to change the carrier for any ratio change is this right?? i was wondering if i could do 4.56 now and then bolt them up with a 35 spline detroit setup later....will this work or are the gears gonna be different when i do this? thanks alot
