So ill start with im new here on Bronco Zone. This is my second Bronco. I have an 1989 full size with a 5 speed. One of the previous owners cull all the wires in the tailgate and just ran two wires for the window motor. Here is my problem I can roll the window up and down from the harness where the switch goes if i stick i few wires in it and use a cordless battery as a power source. I cant get power to the harness? i have checked all the fuses and i used a meter to ohm out the switch to make sure it works and it seems to from what i can see. is there any way to find out why im not getting power to the gray harness that the switch plugs into. Thanks for you help. After this is new breaks up front and then maybe a lift kit and tires.

Check the diagram in the other post.  You can't just hack it up, the front switch is the ground source for both.  If you want it to work correctly, you need to restore the original wiring method.
