I recently bought a 72 Bronco that runs great but it seems to shift from 1st to 2nd to drive way too fast. Any one know how I may lengthen the shift time beside doing it manually? It's a C4 transmission that seems solid so far. Already had the fluid and filter changed. It looks like there is a bar attached to the throtle linkage they may have someting to do with it. Maybe these old things just shift that way. Won't effect wheelin but is some what a pain while in town.
I'm out of Round Rock TX (Austin). Planning to take it out for it ****** trail wide hopefully this weekend weather permitting. I always just wanted one but I'm sure there are Old Bronco nuts out there. This is 98% complete (as for parts) and everything works on the thing even the squirters. 4" lift, 33 X 12.5. Not looking togo any farther than that. Needs cosmetic help and bumpers. Any info on good bumpers is appreciated too. It's pretty stock with a 302 2 barrel (for now). Been a long time since I worked a anything like this.
I'm not too Tech savy so it looks like the pics I was going to down load are too big. I couldn't add a pic to my profile either.
Thanks for any response(s).
