Basically get rid of your computer, engine wiring harness, remove anything you don't want in there, etc . Then either get a HEI or MSD ignition system, perhaps an Edelbrock Performer, and a 4BBL or your choice (I happen to be a Holley, but you need to know Holleys in order to get them set up for how you intend to use the vehicle). Side fuel bowls are better for off road than front to back.

That's off the top of my head, basically start with a bare engine and work from there.

Good luck,

:)>-

When I converted the 88 460 from EFI to a carb, I replaced the entire fuel system. If you plan to stay street-lega, you may not be able to run a fuel cell, but you still need to change the whole fuel system over to a lower psi for a carb. Filter, pressure regulator and electric pump. A mechanical fuel pump off the cam might work, but you'd have to change the timing cover, too. With an electric fuel pump, it's highly recommended to run an oil pressure cut-off or safetey switch, so the fuel pump doesn't keep running when the engine is turned off. You must change the distributor (dizzy) to either a DuraSpark II or HEI-Ford unit. Trust me, it's m uch simpler to use the Ford-HEI, and there's a slew of them on ebay for under $100. I'd run either a Holley or Edelbrock 600-670cfm carb with a performer or stealth intake. JSM84

The 88 bronc owill have a C6 or AOD auto, which are not computer controlled, or one of a few different manuals.
