While I have my transmission out, I want to replace the old, original tranny mount bushings. I can't find'em at JBG or LMC Truck. Anyone know where to get a set??? Oh yeah, I would prefer poly's if available!!! :D/

i would think any advance, autozone, napa, or carquest would have them

None of these places have the transmission crossmember bushings. All they list is the single mount for a manual or AOD. No luck with JBG, LMCTruck, etc. so far. MY local Ford dealership is NO help at all. "Ford discontinued all the old Bronco parts", so don't even bother calling me says the parts dude. Bummed

jsm, heres the part numbers I got from ford fo what your looking for..

e1tz6e039a & e1tz6e039b. The first one is the upper insulator and the other is the lower. The lower is about $8 and the uppers are about $50, so I think giving the extra poly body bushings lying around a try. Do you have any extras? there's a set on ebay for like $11 right now, or Im going to try the 78-79 t-cae mount poly's. Mike from JBG said they are bout 3" round, and another guy has them in his 84' and they work fine he said. So let me know what your gonna do since im in the same place as you right now.

cjb, thanks for the part numbers. I looked at gfp the other day and couldn't find them. I'm gonna try your suggestion on the 78/79 t-case mounts. I checked on the Daystar poly body mount bushings I have. THe top one is the same diameter and thickness, but the bottom is about 1/2" thinner than those on the crossmember. Thanks for your help, JSM84

wrachet, LOL girl!!! :))

Well im not sure how yours are, but if you figure mine are so dry rotted that they are split around the entire diameter of the bushings, so your bottom bushing being 1\2" shorter I dont think would make that big of a deal. Im placing an order with JBG today for the t-case mounts.
