Need Help Identifying Transmission Application

[3 speed w/od]

I have been told that the following transmission may have been installed in Broncos of '84 thru '87 vintage. If this is true, I would greatly appreciate know in which years this transmission was installed.

- 3 speed w/od (4th gear is od)

- aluminum case

- first letters on case tag is "RTS"

- top loaded transmission

- shift tower is on top of case

The top-mounted shifter 4-speed overdrive (TOD) was available from 1980-1987 according to the Haynes Manual.
