yes you can put a C6 in it..easy to do..you also could put an AOD in it but i would highly suggest a C6, it is a lot stronger

if its just a housin junkyard would be the best place and price you i think youll have to do some mods on the speed sensor i dont remeber where the sensor is on the c6 but if i remeber right the ones on the E4OD tranny then the speed sensor is inside the tranny... just a heads up but its worth it i think someone else hopefully will help me on this....lol

you wont need to switch bellhousings...as long as you get a c6 off of a 302/351w 300 straight 6 it will bolt right up to your motor...c6 has 3 speed 1 2 drive..as i said very strong trans hold up well you can get them from u-pull it (i know of one in south jersey if you're near the area let me know i will give you info on it and other yards that have them) from u-pull it they are about 75-100 from a normal junkyard they run liek 200-300 but most will give you 30 day warranty

sorry its taking so long to reply..havent been on the computer much..albions u-pull it in berlin on berlion crosskeys road has trannys for 65-75...and you could save yourself some money and also purchase an NP205 from there for 55-60 bucks rather then get an atlas but hey thats just my opinion..its a dollar to get in and you need your own tools

good news i found a guy with an 88 that hes pulling the engine out of and i bought the rest of the bronco for 750 and im just gonna pull my engine out and drop it in the new one it is in better condition and it has a c-6 in it that was just rebuilt like 3000 miles ago. it was allmots like an omen when i saw it everything wrong on it it is brand new on mine. so im just gonna make 2 into 1. so **** spending 2000 on the atlas and all the faB work. so swampthing ill be ready to wheel by spring for sure but im shooting for having it ready for some fun in the snow

Yeah swapping the C6 in where an AOD was is pretty easy but putting it where an E4OD was can be a trick , None of those trannies mentioned have removable belhousings the C6/AOD/E4OD so you either have one for a small block or a big block theres no changing it . The problem you will run into going from an E4OD to C6 is that the computer looks at the shifter position / vehicle speed / through sensors in that tranny so you would have to find a computer that had your size motor and the correct tranny you were going to use. That can be a pain I went through it when I swapped out my AOD for a C6 . Anyway sounds like you came out better with less work ahead of you . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

i was going to pull my engine out and put it in the new bronco and i think the only difference between the 88 and the 90 engine is the bigger intake manafold so im hoping that ill avoid that problem but i could be wrong and i think i just found a third bronco wow this is getting crazy but i guess ill have a ton of parts

The wiring harnesses are different from the 88 to the 90. And the 88 uses 2 fuel pumps, the 90 has 1. If you have all the parts it wouls still be easy enough

Evrything on the engines should be identical, but just to be sure, since you have both trucks anyway, remove both engines and set them side by side on the floor, compare and anything different, change it to whichever way the Bronco that is getting the engine is set up. Know what I mean? make sure you remember which engine came from what. The new engine has to match the engine in the Bronco you are keeping, Take whatever parts off the old engine that are different from the new engine and install them on the new engine. If they have any differences that is
