Just tryin to find out how to access the rear speakers. I'm gonna upgrade them. I took a quick look at em & I hope the speaker grill just pops off. If not it looks kinda involved. Its a 93 XLT. Thanx ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

You CAN pop it off but its not for the timid, there is a certain way to pull it and breaking some of the tabs if fairly likely. You will also have to pull and hold the trim to get access to a *****. Ill look at mine tomorrow to see which way to pull so you dont risk breaking all of them. (fairly sure you pull the part closest to the bench seat forward but not 100%)

Sorry it took me so long but pull the part that is closest to the front doors out and then the other part will slide out after you pull it 90 degrees. Youll have access to all but one ***** i believe.

Mine are easily accessed by removing the grill which is held on with screws. If you are going for real good speakers, you probably need to replace the wiring, and that is a little more involved. In my humble opinion, the best way is to remove the trim panels. The wiring runs down the driverside under the rug in a little trough then when it gets to the back door post it splits with one wire going inside the door post to the rear driverside speaker and the other crossing behind the front seats to a hole in the passenger side rear door post and to that speaker.

God luck,

:)>-
