*LOUD*Screech / Spare Tire Swing Arm

Painfully loud screech occurs when swinging open or when closing the spare tire swing arm.....I've thourougly sprayed it with WD-40 and while it moves a bit better is is still screeching up a storm :blink:

Any Ideas???

I have the same problem. Used WD-40 on it and it stopped most of it but still squeaky.

Pull the E-rings, knock the pins out, clean them, **** them with EP grease, & replace the plastic bushings if necessary.

I just knew someone was going to have me pulling the whole thing off and making a bunch of work for me!!!!! /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> lol

Best place to order the bushings??

also ditch the WD40 its good if you get water in your distributor cap

for lubricting go with either

PB Blaster or Seafoam Deep Creep

for rusted items best thing is Kroil
