Im sure theres already a post on this but I really didnt feel like going through all of the pages.

I was wondering what you guys suggested for a decently priced 2.5-4" lift. I am just wanting to clear 33 inch tires and not any bigger. I have a 1989 Bronco 5.0 302 Automatic. Any info or suggestions you guys could give me would be great.

Thanks in advance,

Boomballs B)

I thought you can fit 33s with no lift.Anyway for a quick cheap lift you can put on a 2 inch OR 3 inch body lift. They usually run about $100 give or take a couple of buck weather they include bumper brackets or not.Suspension lifts for 2 or 3 inches just arent worth the money in my opinion. ^_^ /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Mud when you put your body 3" body lift on, did you have to lengthen you steering column or change any other parts?

No The only thing that had to get lengthened was the shift rod under the hood. From the coloumn to the trans. They supply you with an extension thats either 2 or 3 inches depending on what lift you get. What you do is scratch a line or use a black marker and draw a line down the rod, that way when you cut it on half to WELD the extension in you keep the lines lined up so its it the same position.Besides that they come with all the bolts and hardware. And your steering shaft from the coloumn to the box is telescoping,it'll lengthen itself about an inch or so,nothing to worry about..Nice cheap lift. :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

watch your tcase linkage with a body lift too

obviously it'll shorten the shifter coming through the floor and you may need to do some adjustments with the linkage to get into 4lo

My cousin has a 96 Bronco and his has 32s on it. Ive read some place where you can fit 33s and it works no problems but then i've also heard that it will cause rubbing. My Grandpa asked his friend at the Ford dealerships tire shop and said 31 was biggest suggested.

I might just end up with 31's, not so sure I'd wanna mess with body lift and suspension lifts are a good chunk of change just for 3-4 more inches.

I have 32x10.5's on my 96 and the only rub I get is on the radius arms when cutting the wheel hard. There isn't any kind of lift on it, and I like the way the tire fills the wheel well.

Yea his I believe came with 32's stock on it and thats what the previous owner replaced them with. **** mine now almost look like 29's and the dimension on the side is worn off.

And just going on different sites that sell tires it says stock size to have max 31's and for 33's to have 2.5+ of lift. I know these are probably just disclaimers but I really dont want any rub and I am definantly not cutting the fenders or bumpers at all.

But if I do put a lift kit on, is there any that you guys suggest for a pretty good price? What do you guys think of rough countrys lift kits? Ive heard positives and negatives about them but am really not sure what to think.
