Now i guess i might have a bias opinion couse i own a jeep. but i do have to admit i am still currently finnishing the project, that said i'm not realy changing it just upgrading. same engine just rebuilt, new trans , bigger axles e.c.t. NOW! for those of you who have never owned an older jeep like mine hears alittle F.Y.I. the only thing in it that isn't already built by someone else is the motor, and for the kind of trail i'm building mine for, i wouldn't take any other motor, my 360 amc makes all of it's torqe under 2,500 rpm and for the rocks you can't beat that. As for the rest it has a ford ignition, ford a.c, and ford carb, gm th 400, and dana axles. exactly what most of us have in our chevy's and fords. so wheres the big dif? My personal opinion is the worst truck there is can be bad ass in the right hands, and the most bad ass rig isn't nothn without somone that knows how to operate it. Oh yeah and by the way, i have pulled out plenty of fords both trucks and yes even a couple bronco's, But i do love mine, it's proly the most reliable vehicle i've ever owned!

Okay. I will give you that. The Ones that came with the abortion drivelines are the best ones. I can not complain about the early 80 and late 70s ones of which you speak. Before those I can not comment because I have NO expierience with them. As far as the later models, they are crap. Just Empty Every Pocket...JEEP.

I love my bronco. All of my buddies drive jeeps, ranging from wranglers to cherokees. All of them are POS's. I went wheeling with nine other guys, and I am the only one that doesnt wheel a HEEP. They all run heavily modified rigs, while mine in bone stock. I had to pull all of them out of the same mud bog. After I pulled all of them out, I told them to take another route, while I drove right throught the spot where all of them got stuck. Not only are Jeeps horrible, but Jeep owners are dumb. First off, who in their right mind would want to own a jeep, unless your a cheerleader or from San Francisco. Second, as proof of Jeep stupidity, in my experience, they do not learn. Like stated above, all nine of the Jeeps I wheeled with got stuck in the same spot. You would think someone would learn, and not embarrass themselves by making the same mistake as everyone else. I would take my bronco any day. You couldn't pay me enough to drive a Jeep.
