I have electronic ignition in my 75 bronco. I am blowing my main 30amp fuse next to the starter motor relay. I have narrowed the short that I think I have to the ignition system with the key in the on position I get 9v to the black wire on the distributor that should be ground right? The box is brand new and is grounded correctly do I have a bad box, is something else creating this or is this correct any help or ideas would be great this is driving me crazy.

Yah,

6+ volts on the "pos." side of the coil....not the "neg."

Should see + & - marked on the coil.

Did you try running a seperate ground wire to the neg. side..?

(The orig. one off of course)

If there's still voltage on the neg. side then it may be a bad coil...
