Howdy Everybody,
I just bought a 1973 Bronco Explorer from a guy in Murchison, TX. He had it sitting behind his shop since 1999, only cranking it every couple of months to make sure it still ran. I think I got a good deal on it. It's pretty much all still there, seats, power steering, original dash pad with no cracks, and almost all the gauges and lights worked. I went up there to look at another one he had, but it was out of my price range so he showed me the one I bought. I know it's rough but I think it's a great foundation to start with. The motor is strong the rest just needs some TLC.
I just got out of the Air Force (11 yrs in) and decided to go back to college, but I wanted a playtoy to tinker with in my spare time. I've always like the look of the Early Broncos, and I had a '71 Ford pickup with a 302 in it that was a piece of junk growing up, but I've always loved working on stuff so I thought what the ****.
Anyways, I've already learned a ton from this forum, and I look forward to picking ya'll's brains on the inevitable issues I will have getting my Bronco the way I want it. Here's some pics of the rig... tell me what you guys think.
