i am just posting this out of curiosity but, how much did y'all pay for your bronco's. im seeing people say that they have paid $4-$6k for some of these bronco's, and i only got mine for $350. i mean the only real rust is on the tailgate.. so did i just end up getting a steal? or does the price just really vary on the specs and your location?

Sounds like a Govt. bid vehicle....no matter , that's a great buy, especially if all systems are working.

No brag, just fact....

I paid $3000 for my rig 15 yrs. ago.....I wouldn't sell now for $15,000..!!

Reason being, over the years, I've left dozens of jeeps, etc. stuck in the mud, sand, or at the bottom of a hill, or in a repair shop. (even the infamous Rubicons)

And my rig is basically stock...

To replace it with a veh. of equal abilities.....the price would be upwards of $30,000...!

Sooooooo, ...... you my friend, in my opinion, DID "get a steal...!"

Mine cost me $1200.00 88, I salvaged from an auction house, was smashed on the driverside , door gone, windshiled cracked, and minor damage to the front driver side suspension, all in all I have spent like 1K fixing it, and IM not nearly done, with my bid I got what my sig says minus the dual battery settings, but came with a 10 cd changer, brand new spare, so in fact your bronco does sound like a steal!!!!1

got mine for $1500 here in california. i've been wanting one for YEARS and they run around the high range you quoted back home in texas- i guess it depends on where you live and whether or not people out there really use them. i think i've already spent a good chunk on what i paid for her already in fixing her up even though she was in good shape. and i'll spend plenty more to make her like brand new. they'll have to pry my cold dead hands off her steering wheel before i give her up though. there's nothing better than a bronco. to me it's a porsche.

I feel like crap now, I picked mine up for $8,200 about two years ago and within 9 months blew the engine and blew the rear end not to long ago and my tranny is sounding like shit right now along with a TTB that needs every bushing replaced. But, I love my Bronco and I don't care how much money I did or didn't pay for it, it's my baby and it's going to stay that way. I'll give anything to have another one too but the wife doesn't have the same passion for Bronco's as I do so it'll be some time. B)

I purchased my 1990 Bronco XLT for $1000.00. It has a rebuild 302 and rebuilt AOD trans. It came with a 2001 Western Unimount Snowplow. The truck made it about 3 miles down the highway going home and it overheated. It was the warmest September day I could remember and the plow blocked the radiator. When it cooled down I went to restart it and found the alternator was bad and the battery was dead.

I paid $4350.00 for mine, 95 EB. Just dropped it off at the body shop to get rid of a couple of dings. Now the only thing left is to find those darn Chrome strips for the wheel wells.

Just about. Got it as a demo, way back when. First user was coach of the NJ Nets back in 88. So technically I'm the first and only owner. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> As long as there's gas I'll have my bronco. [-(

I got my Bronc out of the local newspaper.

'90 5.0 AOD Eddie Bauer, 33's tires, Rims (wrong bolt pattern, but somehow mounted)

It was a poorly written ad, said it needed rear end work. A friend, he was going to sell it to, blew out the differential. So he went and got a rebuilt one , but never finished installing it (due to lack of tools and experience to use tools).

SO, he wanted $1,500. I hagled him down to $1,250, but it still was much (especially after all the problems i saw, even more when i started really looking and fixin'), But I wanted a bronco, especially since my dad sold his to my sister.

I got it home and then fixed a few thing and then the problems began...

The list of things wrong are long, so i'll list the MAJOR problems:

1. The tools of choice where pliers and lock-jaw pliars, as i found out as I finished the install on the rear Diff. in his driveway (especially alarming when talking about BRAKES)

2. Title, He had the title, but his friend was the owner, but he was the Lien Holder. He moved right after, so I could not get the lien removed, until I had to send DMV forms, via Certified Mail, etc. etc. It took 8 months to finally get a clean title in my name.

3. What is that strange exhaust leak noise? Burnt Valve. Its got a set of rebuilt heads on now (this was enough NOT to buy the Bronc, Now I know what an burnt valve sounds like.....)

4. Why does the engine idle so sporadic? some engine electronics, still trying to **** that gremlin.

5. Paint. Pristine on one side, sandblasted on the other

6. 4x4. Doesnt engage, some other electronics where i'll go gremlin hunting one day...

Other than that, its Great! Im rolling on 33's and just waiting for the day that some honda go kart slams on its breaks and I can't react fast enough and just crush that #%*& like a monster truck!

p.s. Craigslist is Awesome! I buy and sell stuff there all the time! (latest purchase was girlfriends Motorcycle)
