Is there a book, website, or guide that describes the differences between the various types( Ranger, Sport, Wagon, etc.) of Early Broncos? I am interested to find out which type had the most chrome, better interior, etc.

Thanks,

The "Sport" package had the most EXTERIOR trim. They had window chrome, the belt line chrome, chrome headlight rings & a chrome grill ring. They also had the "Bronco Sport" emblom on the side. Rangers didn't have the exterior chrome trim like the Sports did. I have seen some Rangers with bits and pieces of chrome, but never the full package.

The "Explorer" interior trim had the best of the best. Houndstooth cloth seats & pleated, padded (if you can call it that) door panels. I have also seen the rear quarters covered with the houndstooth but am not sure what package that is. The other interior packages only had metal door panels & vinyl seats. That is the biggest difference in the 2 interiors.

The "wagon" is just the definition on the title. I have my daily driver, a 72, that is a Sport/Explorer and it is listed on the title as a body type "wagon". I also have a 70 that is a plain jane EB that has the body type listed as "UP" for pick-up.

Hope this helps a little. I know there is something that I have probably left out, so if anyone else can think of, chime in.

Order something form Jeff's Bronco Graveyard (www.broncograveyard.com). Great web site, good products and a great catalog with a pretty detailed history of the EB.
