Starter Motor Does Not Crank Engine
Loose or corroded battery cable connections.
Undercharged battery. Does horn & headlights work?
Malfunctioning starter relay.
Faulty starter motor ground circuit.
Malfunctioning starter motor.
Malfunctioning ignition/push-button switch.
CHECK CONNECTIONS AT BATTERIES
Inspect the battery terminals for loose or corroded connections
Make sure transmission is in neutral or Park and parking brake is applied.

Connect remote starter switch between battery terminal at starter relay and starter relay S terminal.

Press remote starter switch button.
or use small jumper between battery + and ignition wire on small relay terminal post (pull the R/LB wire off and try).
With key in START position, check for battery voltage at terminal (R/LB).
Check for continuity between relay mounting bracket and clean chassis ground.
Unusual Starter Motor Noise
Starter motor improperly mounted.
Malfunctioning starter motor.
Improper starter drive engagement to flywheel
Inspect the starter motor mounting.
Check the starter motor mounting bolts for looseness
Remove the starter motor.
Inspect the starter drive and flywheel for damage
