I have a 83 bronc full-size auto trans. I replaced the starter, solenoid and battery. All the electronics work but when I turn the key I hear a grinding from the solenoid and it won't turn over. Any idea as to what it is?

my two cents........ If it's a true grinding noise, it's not coming from the solenoid. I would check your starter ring gear.

Yea, If you are getting grinding it sounds like the gears are not making good contact with the flywheel. Difference between 302 and 351 starter or auto VS manual?
